Has your car battery been serviced recently? Car batteries experience a lot of wear and tear over the life of a car, especially in extreme temperatures like summer heat. Testing the battery - or, if necessary, getting a new one - can help keep your car running in peak condition.

It's easy to test your car battery yourself with a digital voltmeter. Turn off the ignition and the car lights. Next, connect the positive voltmeter test lead to the positive terminal in the battery and the negative voltmeter test lead.

If the battery isn't holding a charge and has lost voltage, it may be time for a new battery.

When the time comes to get a new car battery, come visit us at Volvo Cars Princeton. We'll gladly help set you up with a new one.
